When we start to engage with our past pains in hopes of finding healing, it’s necessary to first be able to understand our emotions. We need to be able to identify and communicate how we are feeling and how we have felt in the past. Our emotions can help us to understand the deeper things that are going on in our hearts and the ways that we are not trusting in our loving Heavenly Father.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
