The world doesn’t need to see a better you. It needs to see Jesus.
When we study the fruit of the Spirit, we can miss the point of Paul’s teaching by focusing on the vital, but incidental parts of his argument. We remember the attributes of love, joy, peace, patience, etc. and miss that Paul is saying that the defining attribute of the Christian is first and foremost the Holy Spirit.
