Paul walked through all kinds of affliction and yet declared them light in comparison to the glory to come. So we, also, may associate with Christ in suffering while fixing our eyes on an eternity being prepared for us.
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.
