There will be times of testing from the Lord in our lives. Just as Abraham was tested by God to see if he feared the Lord, there will be times when God will ask us to obey him, even when it’s really hard to do so. What will our response be? Will we run from walking in God’s ways because we would rather have our comfort? Or will we walk the hard road, climbing our own Mt. Moriah, because we trust in the promises of God? God is faithful, and his blessing will always come to those who fear him.
“I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of his enemies, and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.” Genesis 22:17-18
