Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday being praised as a king, and rightly so. But he was not coming to be the king that everyone expected. His kingship was higher and greater than they could have imagined. His road to the cross also lead him to his throne and now we must deal with him as reigning king over all things, including our very own lives.
“When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: ‘Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!'” Luke 19:37-38
